Ancona participates in the first edition of the Week for the Promotion of Jewish Culture, scheduled from 5 to 20 September 2026 throughout Italy on the occasion of the XXVII European Day of Jewish Culture. The city program revolves around the theme 'Love in Jewish Cinema' with two evening screenings at the Auditorium Orfeo Tamburi of the Mole Vanvitelliana.
On Sunday, 6 September at 9:00 PM, 'Neighbours (Vicini di casa)' by Mano Khalil is shown, while on Monday, 7 September, also at 9:00 PM, it's the turn of 'Noodle (Legami)' by Ayelet Menahemi. Both evenings are introduced by the project curator.
Completing the initiative, on Sunday, 6 September, free guided tours of the Synagogue of Ancona are scheduled, an opportunity to learn about the city's Jewish historical and cultural heritage.
