On Saturday, October 17, 2026, Piazza del Plebiscito hosts the Grande Maratona di Lettura, an event that transforms the public space into an open-air library. The initiative, part of the project 'Strada che vai lettore che trovi' funded by the 'Città che legge' call, invites the community to share the pleasure of books through readings aloud and collective listening. Throughout the day, from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, anyone can participate by reading or listening, in a context of widespread and inclusive culture. In case of bad weather, the event will move to Palazzo Mengoni Ferretti, home of the Biblioteca Benincasa.
