On July 25, 2026, on the occasion of World Drowning Prevention Day, the Baia di Portonovo becomes the setting for a morning dedicated to sea safety. The "La Capannina" beach establishment hosts a practical demonstration by the Servizio Soccorso in Mare Portonovo: a simulated rescue followed by first aid maneuvers, designed to show everyone, bathers and families, how to react in an emergency. Alongside the practical exercises, ANPAS Marche sets up an information point where advice and prevention materials are available, with the participation of the Federazione Italiana Nuoto and the World Health Organization.
