From 30 October to 1 November 2026, Montelupone hosts the Montelupone Mystery Fest, presented as Italy's first historical Halloween. Three days of shows, legends and guided tours through the ancient alleys of the village and the 19th-century caves. The programme includes L'oscura vera storia del borgo, a walk with storytellers, costumed actors and a finale in the caves, Uno squarcio nel tempo at Parco Franchi, I segreti dell'abbazia and Creature marchigiane fantastiche e dove trovarle. In the basement of an 18th-century building, La cantina del matto is set up, an escape room with puzzles inspired by the historical events of the family who lived there. In the village there will be entertainment, a kids area with workshops and Halloween makeup, food stalls and craft stands. The event takes place even in case of bad weather. The event is organised by APS Storie e Leggende.
